Employees of the Central Officers’ Club of the Aerospace Forces, together with representatives of the command and the council of long-range aviation veterans, congratulated retired Colonel Novikova Tamara Potapovna on the 100th anniversary of the veteran of the Great Patriotic War.

The greeting address to the veteran from the commander of long-range aviation, Lieutenant General Sergei Kobylash was read by Lieutenant Vladimir Stakhira:

“I am glad to have the opportunity to express to you my deep respect and gratitude for your many years of service in the long-range aviation of the Air Force, for your personal contribution to the defeat of the Nazi aggressors during the Great Patriotic War and ensuring the security of our Motherland in the post-war period. You were not only a worthy officer, a high professional in your field, but also a reliable comrade, a loyal military friend. Your family union with the legendary Victory Marshal, twice Hero of the Soviet Union, Alexander Alexandrovich Novikov, is for many of us an example of ardent, sincere love and loyalty. You were a reliable support for Alexander Alexandrovich during his lifetime, and after his departure you became a tireless fighter for the preservation and perpetuation of the good memory of the outstanding commander. “

Representatives of the Aerospace Forces listened to the veteran’s recollections, presented her with a commemorative sign “105 years of long-range aviation in Russia”, valuable gifts, and wished her good health.
