Practical driving of combat vehicles was preceded by a lesson on repetition and consolidation of the theoretical part of driving combat vehicles in various weather conditions, including the use of a modern simulator base designed to train driver mechanics.

The driver-mechanics passed tests according to the rules of driving equipment and were instructed in observing safety requirements during the lesson.

In the course of practical driving, the servicemen worked out maneuvering techniques on the high-speed highway, made turns and turns of varying difficulty, overcame ravines, artificial and natural obstacles.
