Today, the first tactical group of a detachment of ships and vessels of the Northern Fleet, participating in the Main Naval Parade, completed the passage of the Baltic straits and entered the North Sea.

The group includes the large anti-submarine ship “Vice-Admiral Kulakov” and the nuclear-powered missile submarine cruiser “Orel”.

The passage of the Baltic strait zone is completed by the large landing ship of the Northern Fleet “Pyotr Morgunov”.

Another tactical group of ships of the Northern Fleet, which includes the missile cruiser Marshal Ustinov, the nuclear submarine Vepr and the rescue tugboat Altai, is completing the passage of the Great Belt and will enter the North Sea within tomorrow.

When passing the straits, Russian sailors pay special attention to the safety of navigation and act strictly in accordance with the norms of international maritime law.

Before the passage of bottlenecks on ships and vessels, training was held on communication and interaction between the main command posts, joint actions of the crews when maneuvering in formation were worked out.

In the waters of the North Sea and the Atlantic Ocean, a detachment of ships and vessels of the Northern Fleet, which participated in the Main Naval Parade, will continue to work out planned combat training tasks during the passage by sea. Ships and vessels of the Northern Fleet, as part of several diverse tactical groups, will conduct a series of comprehensive defense and rescue exercises.
