For seven years, 23 cultural monuments, located on the territory of the main exhibition of the country, have been restored.

For the 82nd anniversary of VDNKh, 23 cultural monuments located on the territory of the exhibition have been restored. Among them – the pavilions “Space”, “Kazakhstan”, “Armenia”, fountains “Friendship of peoples”, “Golden ear”, “Stone flower” and other significant objects. This was reported by Sergei Sobyanin on your page in the social network “In contact with”

The restoration of the pavilions, works of monumental art and landscape architecture began on the territory of VDNKh (at that time – the All-Russian Exhibition Center) in the spring of 2014. Over revitalization of facilities dozens of restorers, artists and architects work. The main concept that specialists adhere to is the restoration of monuments in accordance with their appearance in 1954, since their main architectural periodization dates back to this time.

In 2021 it is planned complete restoration pavilion No. 5 “Physics”, originally dedicated to the Latvian SSR, pavilion No. 15 “Radio electronics and communications”, built for the exposition of the regions of the Volga region, pavilion No. 30 “Microbiological industry”.

In total, VDNKh houses 49 cultural heritage sites (including pavilions, sculptures, historical fountains, a cascade of artificial ponds with the adjacent territory, oak and chestnut groves). In 2015, the entire exhibition area became 50th object with the status of a landmark of federal significance.
