A special exercise of military police units of the Central Military District (CVD) was completed at the training grounds of the Sverdlovsk, Chelyabinsk, Orenburg, Samara and Saratov regions. The exercise took place from 28 July.

Special exercises of military police units of the Central Military District were held in five regions of the Urals and the Volga region. More than 300 servicemen of military units and territorial commandant’s offices of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation within the responsibility of the military district were involved in them.

During the exercise, which was held against a single operational background, the military police of the Central Military District worked out new techniques and methods of action in various conditions of the situation and emergency situations when performing tasks aimed at maintaining law and order and security during the period of combat training with the participation of troops. In addition, during the period of the exercise, the issues of combating terrorism were worked out, including with the use of experience in performing special tasks outside the Russian Federation.

The Central Military District is deployed on the territory of 29 constituent entities of the Russian Federation. The district structurally includes a number of foreign objects: the 201st military base on the territory of Tajikistan, the united military base in Kyrgyzstan, as well as units on the territory of Kazakhstan.
