Inspector of the branch in the Ingodinsky district of Chita of the criminal executive inspection of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia for the Trans-Baikal Territory Ulyana Duchenko rescued a man who was trying to jump from the balcony of the fifth floor.
Ulyana was in the courtyard of her house when she heard the sounds of an approaching ambulance and patrol service, and also saw the crowd of passers-by near the house, where on the fifth floor there was a man who wanted to jump from the balcony.
“The count went on for minutes, it immediately became clear that these were not just threats,” says an eyewitness to the incident. – Without hesitation for a minute, the girl went up to this apartment, the police allowed her to go through and try to talk to the man so that he abandoned his intentions.
In the conversation, it turned out that a difficult life situation and a quarrel with relatives pushed the person to this act. The employee of the criminal executive inspectorate was not at a loss and was able to find the right words, calm and dissuade the man from trying to jump from the fifth floor.
“This act can be called heroic and, of course, worthy of respect,” notes Sergei Belonogov, acting head of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia for the Trans-Baikal Territory.
