August 5 in the garden named after N.E. Bauman open studio will work “Moscow Longevity”, From where the online marathon “Day of Health” will be broadcast. The marathon will be hosted by Channel One TV presenter Timur Soloviev.
The guest of the open studio will be Vladimir Filippov, Deputy Head Department of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of the City of Moscow… He will talk about how Moscow Longevity is being revived after the pandemic and helping the townspeople restore their health.
TV journalist, author and presenter of popular science programs “Miracle of Technology” and “Live Food” Sergei Malozemov will talk about the basic principles of healthy eating. Psychologist Ekaterina Shapurova will share tips on how to maintain vitality at an older age. And the chief physician of the children’s city polyclinic № 7 Elena Katz will speculate about the basic principles of an active lifestyle and how to introduce them into a family consisting of representatives of three generations.
The trainers of the Moscow Longevity project will hold several open lessons and, together with the participants, will demonstrate a set of Healthy Back exercises from Chinese qigong gymnastics. And the teacher of the neurogymnastics project will show you exercises that help to activate the brain and improve cognitive functions and memory.
Participants of the Moscow Longevity will also become guests of the open studio and share the achievements and successes they have achieved thanks to the project. For example, Irina Volkova, who calls herself an amateur gardener and a test cook, will tell how she managed to lose eight kilograms and prepare healthy food from products grown in the country.
The project participants, who have resumed their Nordic walking classes, will conduct an open training session, perform their signature dance and take a symbolic walk under the slogan Make privivka, not COVID. It was invented by the band members themselves, together with coach Valentina Ogareva, inspired by John Lennon’s line Make love, not war.
63-year-old Mikhail Panov will be a special guest of The Day of Health. He recovered from spinal surgeries and dramatically changed his life thanks to his passion for bungee jumping (jumping from high-rise structures with an elastic rope). Mikhail Panov got into the Russian Book of Records in two nominations, he has more than 300 jumps from platforms, dams, skyscrapers and bridges in different parts of the planet. This is the only athlete in the world who began to practice bungee jumping in his mature years and continues to do this constantly.
The cover group Bridge Brothers Band and the laureate of the II festival of creativity of the participants of the project “Moscow Longevity” “The Roads We Choose …” Elena Mansurova will also perform. She will perform on the violin the instrumental theme Smile, written by Charlie Chaplin for the 1936 film New Times.
