2.3 billion rubles will be allocated to ensure a stable water supply in Crimea. This order was signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

Of this amount, 940 million will go to the reconstruction of the tunnel water conduit on the southern coast of the peninsula, 1.36 billion – to overhaul the water conduit in the Simferopol region of the republic.

The source of funds will be the Government’s reserve fund. The Ministry of Economic Development and Trade was instructed to conclude an agreement with the republican authorities on the provision of subsidies within 30 days.

“We hope that this will allow in a short time to ensure a reliable supply of drinking water to residents of a number of districts of the Republic of Crimea,” said Mikhail Mishustin at the meeting of the Government on July 30.

The government is actively working to solve the problem of water supply on the peninsula. So, earlier it was approved plan to ensure reliable water supply to Crimea and Sevastopol total cost of 48 billion rubles. This document includes measures related to repair work on water supply networks, with the construction of modern engineering infrastructure – water intakes, drainage systems and treatment facilities.
