From 5 to 7 August at the site of the Sverdlovsk training center of the Central Military District near Yekaterinburg, the IV Euro-Asian sniping championship will be held.
The competitions are organized by the Russian Precision Shooting Federation and the Tactical Shooting Association “RosSnaiping”. The Sverdlovsk region already has a successful experience of holding high-precision shooting tournaments, which are traditionally held with the support of the Russian Ministry of Defense, the Russian Ministry of Sports, DOSAAF of Russia, the government of the Sverdlovsk region and the city of Yekaterinburg.
In sports competitions, 98 shooters from more than 50 constituent entities of the Russian Federation will compete for prizes. The championship program provides for 25 different shooting exercises at distances from 300 to 1200 meters, shooting from unstable positions. Winners will be determined in individual and team championships, as well as in special nominations for law enforcement officials: long range, Precision Rifle Russia.
The main goal of the championship is: popularization and development of high-precision shooting in the Russian Federation, the formation of a culture of handling and skills of safe possession of firearms, the determination of the best shooters for the formation of a national team representing the country’s sports interests abroad.
Due to the complicated epidemiological situation, the tournament will be organized in compliance with measures to limit the spread of the new coronavirus infection (COVID-19). All athletes taking part in the competition must have a negative PCR test for coronavirus infection, or documents confirming vaccination. The landfill site will be equipped with the necessary means of individual and collective protection, disinfection, thermometric control, a safe distance and mask mode will be observed.
