The draw for the teams participating in the Tank Biathlon competition of the International Army Games-2021 was held in the Patriot Park near Moscow. For the first time, the draw was held in the newly opened museum of the Army, which contains an extensive exposition of the competitions of past years.

The draw was attended by judges of the competition and representatives of teams from 19 countries.

At the end of the performance in 2020, the teams announced for 2021 were divided into two divisions.

The first division included 11 teams from Azerbaijan, Belarus, Venezuela, Vietnam, Kazakhstan, China, Mongolia, Russia, Serbia, Syria and Uzbekistan. The second division consisted of the national teams of Abkhazia, Qatar, Kyrgyzstan, Laos, Mali, Myanmar, Tajikistan and South Ossetia.

According to the results of the draw for the first division, the national teams of Azerbaijan and Syria will compete in the “Individual Race” in the races on blue tanks, the teams of China, Vietnam and Serbia will compete in the red ones, the national teams of Russia, Kazakhstan and Venezuela will compete in the green ones, Belarus and Uzbekistan will compete in the yellow ones.

In the second division, Abkhazia and Mali will perform on blue tanks, Kyrgyzstan and South Ossetia on yellow tanks, Laos and Qatar on red tanks, Tajikistan and Myanmar on green tanks.

Based on the results of individual races, a rating of the best crews will be compiled. The first three will become winners and prize-winners of the “Individual race” stage.

According to the sum of the results of three crews from each country, eight teams in each division will be determined to participate in the semifinal relay races of the Tank Biathlon, which on August 31 and September 1 will determine the four best teams for the final relay. The best teams of the second division will reveal the strongest team on September 3. In 2022, she will participate in the first division.

The final relay race of the teams of the first division will take place on the closing day of the International Army Games – September 4 at the Alabino training ground near Moscow.

In the following days, before the start of the competition, the tankers will familiarize themselves with the track, the target field, conduct practical communications and alignment of the standard weapons of combat vehicles.

The International Army Games-2021 will be held from August 22 to September 4 on the territory of 11 states. During the competition, over 5,000 servicemen from more than 40 countries will compete in field, air and naval training competitions.
