During the multi-day march, the protesters walked through the places of fierce battles of the Great Patriotic War. They overcame the mountain route from Yavorovaya Polyana to the tourist shelter “Fisht”, overcoming the Armenian and Guzeripl passes. The UIS officers told the cadets about the fleeting mountain battles, about the Red Army soldiers and border guards who died a heroic death while defending the passes.

As part of the campaign “Were falling, but rising!” cadets carried out work on the improvement of memorials erected in memory of Soviet soldiers who died during the Great Patriotic War at the Armenian, Guzeripl and Belorechensk mountain passes, and also assisted the administration of the Fisht tourist shelter in collecting and disposing of household waste.

In addition, under the guidance of instructors, the cadets made a one-day trip to the Small Fishta Glacier, where they were given a practical lesson on the basics of mountaineering training. The climax of the hike was the ascent to Mount Fisht – the highest peak of the Lago-Naki plateau.
