Photographers have sent over a thousand pictures of the metropolis and its inhabitants. The jury selected the best 12 from them.
The names of the winners of the VIII competition of urban photography “Planet Moscow” have been announced. An exhibition of works by the finalists opened on the city square of the Moscow City center on August 21.

In the fourth nomination “Dynamics of a megapolis” the first place was taken by Daria Klepikova’s photograph “Happy journey”, the second jury awarded the photograph “White Swan over White Square” by Andrei Belavin, third place was taken by Anastasia Mazureva with the photograph “To the Parade”.
In addition, it is not the first time that the winners of the photo competition were also chosen by the participants of the Active Citizen project.
“In“ Active Citizen ”more than 130 thousand Muscovites voted for the finalists of the competition in each of the four nominations. Now the pandemic has made adjustments to the life of the capital with its own rules, but this did not become the main theme of our competitors: their works reflect both the modernity and the historical appearance of Moscow. The winners in the nomination were announced earlier “People’s vote” among the semifinalists of the competition. They are Alexander Greshnevikov, Ilya Vorobyov and Daria Klepikova. They were selected in an online survey on the competition website and on the page of the Department of Urban Development Policy on the Facebook social network.
