The special forces of the Western Military District (ZVO) in the North-West of Russia, within the framework of airborne training, performed a group landing from an altitude of about 3 thousand meters for landing accuracy, after which they made a 20-kilometer march to the assembly point with other groups.

The landing of military personnel and the work of the Mi-8AMTSh helicopter crews were complicated by gusty winds up to 12 m / s and low clouds.

For admission to jumping with special-purpose parachute systems, military personnel have been trained under the guidance of experienced instructors. In the course of practical exercises, the laying of parachutes, actions in the event of emergency situations, as well as when landing on trees, water and high-voltage wires were practiced.

More than 200 servicemen took part in the jumps. In total, during the summer training period, the special forces of the Western Military District will have to make about 30 thousand parachute jumps.
