The results of the federal stage of the All-Russian competition of professional skills “Best in Profession” in the category “Best Firefighter” have been summed up. Firefighters from all over the country took part in the competition. Based on the results of the tests, the expert working group, which worked on the basis of the Main Directorate of the EMERCOM of Russia in the Ryazan Region, determined the winners of the Competition.

The winner was Evgeny Golovlev, firefighter 66 of the fire and rescue unit of the 6th fire and rescue squad of the FPS State Fire Service of the Main Directorate of the EMERCOM of Russia in the Chelyabinsk Region.

The second place was taken by Maxim Kuznetsov, firefighter of the 1st fire and rescue unit of the fire and rescue unit of the FPS State Fire Service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the Ryazan Region.

In third place – Vladimir Kopylov, firefighter of the state government institution of the Moscow region “Moscow Regional Fire and Rescue Service”.

At the first stage, the contestants competed in knowledge of rescue operations, civil defense, tactical, technical, medical and psychological training, and also performed exercises in physical and fire drill. The next step is practical. Participants competed in overcoming a 100-meter course with obstacles, putting on combat clothing and equipment, knitting a double rescue loop and putting it on the victim (dummy). In full equipment, weighing about 20 kg, they set up an assault ladder weighing 10 kg, climbed it into the windows of the fourth floor of the training tower and laid a forty-meter working line on two sleeves.

Deputy Minister of EMERCOM of Russia Ilya Denisov noted the importance of holding such events: “They allow to improve the level of training of fire and rescue units, to exchange experience, which, of course, has a positive effect on the overall combat readiness of EMERCOM of Russia employees.”
