The center of nuclear medicine, which has no analogues in the world, will start operating in Skolkovo by the end of 2023. This was announced by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Urban Development Policy and Construction Andrey Bochkarev.
“A nuclear medicine center with an area of about 20 thousand square meters will appear in the international medical cluster. It will become the first center in the world to compactly house all the main technologies of nuclear medicine, ”said the Deputy Mayor.
He also noted that it will be possible to establish the production of radiopharmaceuticals for diagnostics and drugs used in radionuclide therapy.
In turn, the General Director of the International Medical Cluster Foundation in Skolkovo Ildar Khairullin added that it is planned to conduct research work at the center.
“In addition, the unique equipment that will be installed there, including an accelerator for proton beam therapy and a cyclotron, will allow the center to become a platform for the provision of high-tech oncological care,” he stressed.
The Skolkovo International Medical Cluster is a unique healthcare project designed to significantly improve the quality and efficiency of medical care. It is planned to build 860 thousand square meters of medical, educational, industrial facilities, as well as infrastructure facilities here.
The medical cluster will include multifunctional medical center and biomedical laboratory, center for chronic diseases, a unique medical mall and other institutions. They will receive patients and implement continuing education programs medical professionals.
