The workers will replace the pavement, repair spans and supports, remove rust from the reinforcement bars, and install new railings.
Overhaul will take place on the road bridge in South Tushino. Inspection of the structure showed the need to perform a number of works. Their project was approved by the experts of Mosgosexpertiza.
The western bridge over the Skhodnensky Canal was built in 1937, it consists of three spans and four supports. The length of the crossing is 67 meters, the width is more than 15 meters.
“During the main period of construction work, the replacement of the coating and waterproofing of the roadway and sidewalks, the replacement of expansion joints and the repair of reinforced concrete elements of the superstructure and supports will be performed. It also provides for the cleaning of reinforcement from rust and coating with anticorrosive compounds, painting of reinforced concrete elements of supports and spans, fencing, ”said the chairman
Before starting work – during the preparatory period – a fence will be installed around the construction site. Temporary buildings and structures will be installed for builders, a warehouse will be created. The buildings will be supplied with water, electricity and communications, and they will be provided with fire-fighting equipment.
According to Valery Leonov, the fences will not occupy the carriageway of neighboring streets and driveways. Entry and exit to the construction site will be organized from Skhodnenskaya Street, and temporary road signs will be installed for drivers.
Overhaul of another ferry in South Tushino completed in summer – builders updated bridge “Tushinsky DK”. On it, the beams of the supporting structure, expansion joints and waterproofing were replaced, the slopes were strengthened, new asphalt was laid, and a trans-barrier was installed instead of a reinforced concrete bumper.
