An underground pedestrian crossing over MCD-2 will be built in Pokrovsky-Streshnevo. It will be located at: Volokolamskoe shosse, house 114, building 2, building 2. This was announced by the head Moscow Construction Department Rafik Zagrutdinov.

“We have decided on a contractor for the construction of an underground pedestrian crossing under the MCD-2 railway tracks in the 1st Tushinsky proezd in the area of ​​possession 19. In the course of the work, new engineering communications will be rebuilt and laid, the territory will be landscaped. Construction is to be completed in September 2022, ”he said.

The pedestrian crossing will provide a safe and comfortable crossing of the railway tracks of the Riga direction of the Moscow Railway, access to the secondary school and Polytechnic College No. 47 named after V.G. Fedorov. Its tunnel section will be 61 meters long and four meters wide. During the work, two staircases with overhead wheelchair descents and two elevators will be equipped to provide access for people with limited mobility.

The walls of the passageway and staircases, as well as the outer vertical surfaces of the parapets, will be faced with ceramic granite tiles. The steps of the stairs and the floor of the tunnel part will be made of natural heat-treated granite slabs.

Rafik Zagrutdinov added that it is planned to build seven pedestrian crossings over the MCD-2 railway tracks.
