37 diagonal pedestrian crossings are now marked with a dotted line along the contour of the crosswalk.

The specialists of the municipal economy complex have completed work on the road markings renewal. This was announced by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Housing and Communal Services and Improvement Peter Biryukov.

“The markings have been updated on key highways and streets of the capital. First of all, the work was carried out near preschool, educational, medical and preventive institutions, large transport hubs and parks, – he noted. “In total, we have laid markings on 4.2 thousand road objects, the total length of the lines exceeds 15 thousand kilometers.”

The Deputy Mayor of Moscow said that durable plastic materials are used when applying road markings.

“The work was carried out mainly at night, when the traffic was lower, this made it possible to avoid long traffic restrictions,” stressed Pyotr Biryukov. – Updated the lines dividing the flows of the oncoming and the opposite direction, arrows indicating the direction of movement, stop lines, duplicate road signs.

In total, more than 10 thousand signs of public transport stops and more than 20 thousand ground pedestrian crossings have been marked. Their markings at the adjustable crossings are not yellow.

This year, 37 diagonal pedestrian crossings have acquired a new look. Now, instead of a solid fill with lines, they are indicated by a dotted line along the contour of the transition.

Also, the markings of bicycle paths located on 69 streets, mainly in the central part of the city, have been updated. In addition, 39 sites have temporary bicycle lanes marked with orange road paint.
