A team of military divers of the People’s Republic of China (PRC) conducted the first training session at the “Depth” diving all-around competition, which takes place in the Gulf of Oman at the Iranian Navy’s diving range in the port of Konarak.

Chinese military athletes were the latest to start training, due to the fact that they arrived at the competition later than all the participating teams and, according to the conditions of the organizers, were on mandatory three-day isolation in order to prevent the appearance of coronavirus infections.

On its first training day, the PRC team practiced passing two competitions: “Scales” and “First aid to a drowned diver”.

During the remaining training time, the team will practice completing the remaining four exercises.

The International All-Around Diving Competition “Depth” is held within the framework of the International Army Games – 2021 from August 22 to September 1, 2021. The competition is held in the Islamic Republic of Iran, at the diving range of the naval base in the seaport of Konarak.

The competition includes a competition of seven exercises: Scales, Water Rescue and First Aid for a Drowned Diver, Assisting an Emergency Surface Ship, Keeping an Emergency Submarine Life Supporting, Flange and Rope.

The competition involves teams of military divers from Russia, China, Venezuela, Syria and Iran.

The opening of the competition will take place on August 22 at the stadium of the naval base of the naval forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the port of Konarak, the site of the competition.

The Russian Federation is represented by a combined team of representatives of the fleets and the Caspian Flotilla, under the leadership of Captain 1st Rank Damir Shaikhutdinov.

The International Army Games 2021 will be held from August 22 to September 4, 2021 on the territory of 11 states (Russia, Algeria, Armenia, Belarus, Vietnam, Iran, Qatar, Kazakhstan, China, Serbia, Uzbekistan).

In total, more than 5 thousand servicemen, consisting of 275 teams from 42 countries, take part in 34 competitions of ARMI-2021.
