At the Korla military training ground of the PLA ground forces training center, in preparation for the Safe Environment international competition, Russian military personnel of the RCB protection troops conducted a comprehensive training session on the main route of the competition.

During the training, the Russian team used Chinese-made equipment and devices. The crews worked out the issues of conducting chemical reconnaissance of the terrain using the FZD04B chemical reconnaissance device at three contaminated points.

At the site of the search for radioactive sources, using a portable dose rate meter FFS06, servicemen found ionizing radiation sources on vehicles and marked their locations with a special sign.

The crews also trained in preparing a special treatment machine for degassing 2 simulated contaminated objects.

At the end of the training, the servicemen overcame a 500-meter fire-assault strip, consisting of 12 obstacles of varying difficulty.

The preparation of the competition participants takes place in difficult weather conditions associated with high air temperatures.

The Russian team includes the best specialists – winners of the All-Army Competitions – cadets of the Military Academy of Radiation, Chemical and Biological Defense named after Marshal of the Soviet Union S.K. Timoshenko.

In the Safe Environment competition, the Russian team will compete with servicemen from four countries – the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the People’s Republic of China.

This year in the People’s Republic of China, at the Korla ground forces range, three competitions of the International Army Games will be held: “Clear Sky”, in which servicemen of air defense units will compete, “Suvorov Onslaught” – a competition for the crews of infantry fighting vehicles and “Safe Environment “- competition between radiation, chemical and biological reconnaissance units.

The International Army Games 2021 will be held from August 22 to September 4, 2021 on the territory of 11 states (Russia, Algeria, Armenia, Belarus, Vietnam, Iran, Qatar, Kazakhstan, China, Serbia, Uzbekistan).
