In the city of Pervomaisk, the fight against fire is going on around the clock, a build-up of forces and means is being made in those areas where an increase in fire is recorded. Extinguishing is complicated by hot weather and gusty winds. Ilya Denisov, Deputy Minister of EMERCOM of Russia, coordinates the use of forces and means to extinguish fires in the Nizhny Novgorod region.
Airmobile groups of the Russian Emergencies Ministry continue to work on extinguishing in the most difficult areas. The main efforts are aimed at preventing the spread of fire to populated areas. Aviation of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia, the Ministry of Defense and the National Guard are involved in extinguishing. In total, during the extinguishing period, the aircraft carried out about 55 discharges of water with a total volume of more than 272 tons. The work of aviation contributed to a significant reduction in the area of active combustion, its work does not stop.
In the area of Pervomaisk, 3 combat areas were created to extinguish the fire, rescuers are making every effort to prevent the transfer of fire to 4 settlements: n. Glass, Bereshchino, Pervomaisk, Pribrezhny Skete. Residents from the village of Glass left their homes on their own. 20 elderly people were evacuated from the village of Bereshchino. The rest of the residents were notified and, if evacuation is necessary, 7 buses are ready. Points of temporary stay are also prepared.
A unique pumping and hose complex “Shkval” from the Noginsk Rescue Center of the Ministry of Emergencies of Russia arrived at the territory of the reserve near the settlement of Glass of the Nizhny Novgorod Region.
The complex has a high productivity: the volume of water supply is up to 400 liters per second, the length of the hose line from the water source to the fire site can reach over 2 km and provide uninterrupted water supply for several fire tankers at once.
In total, 1,250 people and 186 pieces of equipment were involved in extinguishing in the region.
