These markings warn drivers to slow down and be extremely careful.

More than eight thousand signs “Caution, children!” Were applied to the roads of Moscow. This was announced by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Housing and Communal Services and Improvement Peter Biryukov.

“Traditionally, with the beginning of the new school year, the number of children and adolescents on the streets of the city increases, so every year before September 1, work is carried out to update the road markings near schools, kindergartens, cultural and leisure centers, libraries and sports complexes. This year, more than eight thousand signs “Caution, children!” Have been applied, which duplicate the road sign “Children” on the roadway, ”he said.

Such markings will warn drivers that in this area you need to be prepared for the sudden appearance of a child on the road, so you need to slow down and be extremely careful.

Sign “Caution, children!” applied to the road surface by hand. For this, specialists use cold plastic – it is more resistant, does not require pre-heating, therefore it does not deform during operation.

In addition, road markings have been renewed on key highways and streets of the city – near medical and preventive institutions, large transport hubs, parks. In total, more than 10 thousand signs for stopping urban public transport and more than 20 thousand ground pedestrian crossings were marked.
