Earlier, artillery units made multi-kilometer marches on standard equipment from the points of permanent deployment with the development of tasks to counter the conditional sabotage and reconnaissance groups.

During the field exit, artillery commanders of various levels improve their skills in solving individual fire missions with live firing from closed and open positions, using various types of ammunition.

Servicemen as part of artillery units and gun crews will fulfill the standards for the deployment of equipment and the occupation of firing positions, their engineering equipment and camouflage, target detection using artillery reconnaissance means and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) “Orlan-10”.

As part of the field exit, more than 50 combat firing with artillery batteries and divisions, as well as about 30 fire control trainings, were planned. In order to improve the skills of conducting artillery fire, at least 50 percent of the classes will be held at night. To coordinate the actions of the calculations, the use of UAVs with night vision equipment is planned.

The artillerymen will carry out fire missions using artillery of various calibers, in particular the Akatsia self-propelled artillery mounts, the Msta-B towed howitzers, and the Sani mortars. In turn, the crews of multiple launch rocket systems “Grad” and “Uragan” will conduct live firing at group targets. At the same time, the subdivisions of the Konkurs and Shturm-S anti-tank missile systems will work out the destruction of lightly armored targets and tanks of the imaginary enemy.

In total, more than 1,000 servicemen take part in a large-scale field exit of artillery units of the combined arms army of the Air Defense Forces in Transbaikalia, up to 300 units of weapons and military equipment are involved.
