The crews of the ships of Azerbaijan, Iran, Kazakhstan and Russia participating in the Sea Cup competition of the International Army Games 2021 left the port of Bandar Anzali of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Caspian Sea to inspect the area where the first stage of maritime training will be held.

The chief judges from each national team and the leaders of the national delegations were on board the rescue tug of the Caspian Flotilla SB-738, which played the role of the command ship. Organizational issues of the competition stages were also discussed on board the tug.

At sea, the ships worked out joint maneuvering, taking into account the measures of navigational safety and the prevention of collisions of ships. Each crew was able to assess their capabilities and naval skills in comparison with others.

After 4 hours of naval training, all the ships returned to their anchorage at the port of Anzali.

The Sea Cup competition consists of six stages: naval training (anchoring and drumming), damage control of the ship (sealing holes) on a coastal training simulator, rescue training (boarding a life raft), destruction of a floating mine from a machine gun and artillery shooting at sea and air targets.

The International Army Games 2021 will be held from August 22 to September 4, 2021 on the territory of 11 states (Russia, Algeria, Armenia, Belarus, Vietnam, Iran, Qatar, Kazakhstan, China, Serbia, Uzbekistan).

In total, more than 5 thousand servicemen, consisting of 277 teams from 42 countries, take part in 34 competitions of ARMI-2021.
