On the eve of the start of the competition at the international stage of the Elbrus Ring-2021 competition at the Terskol Mountain Training and Survival Center in the briefing hall of the competition headquarters among the high-mountain divisions, a draw was held for the participating teams.

In total, more than 90 military personnel in 9 teams take part in the competition. Teams from Russia, China, Pakistan, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Abkhazia, South Ossetia, Uzbekistan and India will compete for the title of the best alpine unit.

Based on the results of the draw, the order of the teams’ performance in the competition was determined. The Russian team will be the first, the second is the team of Uzbekistan, the third is the team of Kazakhstan, the fourth is the team of Abkhazia, the fifth is Pakistan, India is the sixth and the seventh is China. In this order, teams will complete fifteen special tasks of the competition.

The teams of Armenia and South Ossetia are represented by two servicemen who will carry out only the final special task “High-speed race along the route Azau glade – Elbrus volcano”. As part of this task, within one day, servicemen from each team will literally run to the highest point in Europe.

Commenting on the results of the draw, the judge of the competition, Colonel Alexander Yakovenko, explained that “the drawing of lots was carried out in strict accordance with the regulations on the competition, no claims and statements were received from foreign delegations.”

The International Army Games-2021 will be held from August 22 to September 4, 2021 on the territory of 11 states (Russia, Algeria, Armenia, Belarus, Vietnam, Iran, Qatar, Kazakhstan, China, Serbia, Uzbekistan).

In total, more than 5 thousand servicemen, consisting of 277 teams from 42 countries, take part in 34 competitions of ARMI-2021.
