The ceremonial opening of the “Excellence in Military Intelligence” competition, held as part of the International Army Games-2021, took place on the territory of the Novosibirsk Higher Military Command School.

The opening ceremony was attended by representatives of the leadership of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, the armed forces of foreign states, representatives of the regional administration, team members.

The strongest teams from the Russian Federation, the People’s Republic of China, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Republic of South Ossetia and the Republic of India take part in the competition “Excellence in Military Intelligence”.

“The annual holding of competitions of this level and scale provides an excellent opportunity to exchange professional experience, build constructive relationships between the military departments of different countries in the field of national security and counter terrorism,” Major Alexey Belousov.

The ceremony ended with a concert program.

The international stage of the competition “Excellence in Military Intelligence” will be held from August 22 to September 4 on the territory of the Novosibirsk Higher Military Command School – one of the leading military educational institutions of the country, which currently trains commanders of reconnaissance and motorized rifle units for all types and branches of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, as well as other departments.

During the competition, military intelligence officers will have to overcome the “scout’s path” and force water barriers. Also, the performance of the march, shooting, and combat vehicle skills will be assessed. All events will be held in conditions close to combat.

The International Army Games 2021 will be held from August 22 to September 4, 2021 on the territory of 11 states (Russia, Algeria, Armenia, Belarus, Vietnam, Iran, Qatar, Kazakhstan, China, Serbia, Uzbekistan).

In total, more than 5 thousand servicemen, consisting of 277 teams from 42 countries, take part in 34 competitions of ARMI-2021.
