The youth historical-patriotic yachting campaign “Sails of the Black Sea Memory” has come to the end on the Grafskaya pier of Sevastopol. It was launched on August 7 by the commander of the Black Sea Fleet, Admiral Igor Osipov

The rescue tug SB-5 and the communications boat KSV-67 of the Black Sea Fleet, the three-masted frigate Khersones, sailing-motor yachts of the ChVVMU them. P.S. Nakhimov “Hermes”, “Fiolent” and “Juno”, cruising yachts of the State Maritime University (GMU) named after F.F. Ushakova “Thank you” and “Success”, as well as the schooner of the International Children’s Center “Artek” “St. Tatiana”.

Due to difficult weather conditions, the participants of the campaign were not able to visit the hero cities of Novorossiysk and Kerch. The hike was carried out along the route: Sevastopol – Artek – Feodosia – Artek – Sevastopol.

The event was organized by the regional branches of the Yunarmiya and DOSAAF of Russia in Sevastopol, the Black Sea Fleet, as well as the Sports Club Yunarmeytsy Sevastopol. The organizing committee of the campaign was headed by deputy of the Legislative Assembly of Sevastopol, Vice Admiral of the Reserve Valery Kulikov.

The campaign was attended by 335 people, including: Yunarmeytsy, cadets of the State Medical University named after F.F. Ushakov and ChVVMU them. P.S. Nakhimova, students of the Maritime College of Sevastopol State University, representatives of the International Children’s Center “Artek”, cadets of the branch of the Nakhimov Naval School in Sevastopol, pupils of the Sevastopol Children’s Naval Flotilla.

The organizers of the campaign, with the support of the Black Sea Fleet, plan to make the Black Sea Memory Sails campaign an annual one.
