Its capacity reserve for technological connection of consumers will be about 100 megawatts.

This year the construction of the Salaryevo substation will begin in the Troitsky and Novomoskovsky administrative areas. This was announced by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Housing and Communal Services and Improvement Peter Biryukov

“Substation Salaryevo will be located on the territory of the TyNAO, its commissioning will significantly improve the power supply of the districts and the city as a whole. The capacity reserve of the new substation for technological connection of consumers will be about 100 megawatts. The approximate commissioning date is 2023, ”he noted.

The substation will be built in three stages. On the first and second stages, specialists will erect a building for a power supply center with the necessary equipment, and then connect it to a 220 kilowatt network. To do this, it will be necessary to lay four cable lines, the total length of which is 21.6 kilometers. At the third stage, unique equipment will be installed – the latest development of Russian scientists.

“An asynchronized electromechanical frequency converter (ASEMFC) is a unit on a common shaft of which two asynchronized electrical machines are installed. Its application will significantly improve the quality and reliability of power supply to the Russian capital, ”explained Pyotr Biryukov.

In addition, the city is testing innovative developments that will prevent overheating of electrical equipment and failures at substations. Have experienced over 80 innovations since 2019, 30 tests held currently.
