Participants of the competition “Road Patrol” ARMI-2021, which is being held for the first time in Qatar, visited the Sheikh Faisal bin Qasim II Museum. The cultural complex is located in the ancient fortress of Al Samriyah, about 20 km from the capital of the state – the city of Doha.

Automobile inspectors and military policemen of Russia, Uzbekistan, Belarus and Iran had a unique opportunity to get acquainted with the exposition of weapons, ceramics, glass and metal products. They also visited the “Qatari Heritage” exhibition, where they saw various decorations, Arabic calligraphy, textiles, and traditional costumes. The professional interest of the competition participants was aroused by the exposition of retro cars, representative cars. At the end of the excursion, the members of the Russian delegation left a comment in the guest book.

The founder of the museum is one of the largest businessmen in the Middle East, collector and philanthropist Sheikh Faisal bin Qasim II. The complex opened its doors to visitors in 1998. It occupies three buildings with a total area of ​​more than 500 thousand square meters. 15 exhibition halls house the Sheikh’s personal collection, consisting of more than 15 thousand artifacts collected by him over 50 years during his travels to many countries of the world.

In the competition “Road Patrol” ARMI-2021 will compete representatives of the military traffic police and military police of five countries: Russia, Belarus, Uzbekistan, Iran and Qatar. The main events will take place from 22 to 26 August at the base of the military police of the armed forces of the State of Qatar, which is located in the suburbs of the capital, Doha.

The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation are represented by a combined team formed based on the results of the all-army stage of the competition, which consists of servicemen of the 11th Military Automobile Inspectorate (regional) of the Western Military District, the 18th Military Automobile Inspectorate (regional) of the Southern Military District, the 263rd Military Automobile Inspectorate (regional) of the Northern Fleet and the 100th Military Automobile Inspectorate (territorial) of Moscow.

The 2021 International Army Games will be held from August 22 to September 4 on the territory of 11 states (Russia, Algeria, Armenia, Belarus, Vietnam, Iran, Qatar, Kazakhstan, China, Serbia, Uzbekistan). In total, more than 5 thousand military personnel, consisting of 277 teams from 42 countries, take part in 34 competitions of ARMI-2021.
