On the territory of the Seltsy training center of the Ryazan Guards Higher Airborne Command School (RVVDKU) named after General of the Army V.F. passed the first stage of the “Qualification” competition.

The participants had to show the best result in the control exercises in order to get to the main draw of the competition. The first qualification stage was the team of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.

During the qualifying exercise, the servicemen hit each target with two shots from the left hand, then, after changing the magazine, from the right. In the second exercise, at the signal of the referee, the participant, after hitting the target, moved to the next shooting zone with a change of weapon (pistol and machine gun) and shooting position. In the third exercise, also on a signal, the servicemen opened fire on the targets on the right, resting the butt on the right shoulder, and then, changing the magazine, hit those on the left – resting the butt on the left shoulder.

Participants were assessed on the basis of time indicators, accuracy of their shooting, compliance with safety requirements. Having shown high results in three exercises, all the participants of the competition fulfilled the qualification requirements and successfully passed to the main draw of the competition.

The competition is based on army tactical shooting (army tactical and shooting all-around), which received a special status in the Armed Forces, becoming an integral part of combat training.

The International Competition “Tactical Shooter” will be held from August 22 to September 2, 2021. More than 130 military personnel, consisting of 17 teams representing their countries, take part in the competition.

The International Army Games 2021 will be held from August 22 to September 4, 2021 on the territory of 11 states (Russia, Algeria, Armenia, Belarus, Vietnam, Iran, Qatar, Kazakhstan, China, Serbia, Uzbekistan).

In total, more than 5 thousand servicemen, consisting of 277 teams from 42 countries, take part in 34 competitions of ARMI-2021.
