This year the Anton Chekhov square in Lublin will be landscaped. It is located between Taganrogskaya, Armavirskaya and Krasnodarskaya streets. As reported in the complex of the municipal economy, the work has already been completed by 80 percent.

The specialists will reconstruct the sports and playgrounds, install new lighting poles, and update the photo zone with a decorative bridge and swing. Also, trees and shrubs will be planted here, flower beds will be laid out and lawns will be tidied up, a hedge will be arranged.

The central alley of the square is decorated with a bust of Anton Chekhov by the sculptor Salavat Shcherbakov. A cherry orchard is also planted here, and on the territory there are wooden sculptures – figures of heroes from the works “Lady with a Dog”, “Kashtanka”, “Man in a Case”, “Horse Family”.

It is believed that Anton Chekhov loved to hunt in Lublin, and then relax with friends in Pechatniki.

This year improvement planned more than a hundred iconic places, territories of educational institutions and streets, including the embankments of the Balchug Island, the floodplain of the Chermyanka River (the future Yauza Park), the square on Zvezdny Boulevard, the Test Pilot Park and others. Since 2011, 765 park areas with a total area of ​​over 18.5 thousand hectares have been put in order in Moscow.
