Over 651.9 million rubles will be allocated to the regions for the purchase of oxygen concentrators for the treatment of patients with coronavirus infection. This order was signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

“It is important to keep the oxygen supply at a sufficient level. Regional authorities should plan the need in advance and especially carefully monitor the condition of the equipment. The life of people depends on this, ”Mikhail Mishustin said at meeting with deputy prime ministers on 23 August.

Concentrators provide hospitals with oxygen to treat patients with respiratory distress. The money will be directed to 20 regions that need such equipment. Among them are Altai Territory, Amur, Arkhangelsk, Irkutsk, Kirov, Kurgan and Oryol Regions, North Ossetia and Khakassia, Transbaikalia, Kalmykia, Komi and Dagestan.

Each of the regions will receive an average of 32.5 million rubles. These funds will be enough for the purchase of equipment, its delivery and commissioning.
