On August 24, the All-Russian competition in fire and rescue sport among special units of the Ministry of Emergencies of Russia in memory of Major General of the Internal Service Valery Timofeevich Kishkurno started in Vladimir.

The opening ceremony of the competition was attended by the leadership of the emergency department, top officials of the region and the city, guests of honor and veterans of the fire department.

Valentin Nelyubov, Head of the Main Fire Department of the EMERCOM of Russia, addressed the teams with a welcoming speech. He noted that applied fire sports is the highest class of fire drill, which is the basis of all employee training. The ultimate goal of the competition is to improve the training of each participant, which means to increase the efficiency of the work of fire and rescue units and special forces in general. According to V. Nelyubov, the issue of assigning the name of Valery Kishkurno to one of the Be-200 aircraft of the Russian Emergencies Ministry is currently being resolved. During the opening ceremony, he awarded the veterans of the ministry with medals “For the propaganda of the rescue business” and “XXX years of the EMERCOM of Russia”.

The honorary right of the first race was given to a team of veterans of the Russian Emergencies Ministry, who demonstrated a “master class” in combat deployment.

On the opening day, the first tests started at the Torpedo stadium – overcoming a 100-meter obstacle course and a fire relay. On August 25, at the Prometheus stadium, the ascent of the assault ladder and the installation and ascent of the retractable ladder will take place. On August 26, a combat deployment and a ceremonial closing ceremony of the competition will take place at the Torpedo stadium.

15 teams that have passed the qualifying stage will compete for the title of the best. These are teams of the special directorates of the Russian Emergencies Ministry from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kazan, Samara, the city of Lesnoy Sverdlovsk region, Seversk, Tomsk region, Komsomolsk-on-Amur, Khabarovsk Territory, Raduzhny, Vladimir Region.
