First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Alexander Zhukov and Governor of the Novosibirsk Region Andrey Travnikov took part in the inspection.

“The construction of the ice arena is being carried out on behalf of the President. It will host the matches of the World Ice Hockey Championship among juniors under 20, which will start at the end of December 2022 and will last until January 6, 2023. About 4.5 billion rubles have already been allocated from the federal budget to co-finance the construction of the facility. In total, the cost of building the arena, in 2019 prices, was estimated at 10.2 billion, ”said Dmitry Chernyshenko.

At the moment, the level of technical readiness of the facility is 56%. Dmitry Chernyshenko noted that this year the pace of construction of the arena slowed down, there was a problem with payment for the work performed due to the lack of corrected design documentation. The reason for the need for the adjustment was the changes in design solutions during the construction of the arena.

“I ask you to correct the project documentation and catch up with the construction work schedule. Andrey Alexandrovich, take this under your personal control. Track the progress of construction almost on a daily basis. The deadlines cannot be missed. It is necessary to put the arena into operation taking into account the approved schedule of the youth championship, ”added the Deputy Prime Minister. He also instructed Andrei Travnikov, chairman of the board of trustees of the hockey club “Siberia”, to do everything to ensure that the pupils of the local “Siberia” were included in the number of players of the Russian youth team at the MFM-2023.

Governor Andrei Travnikov promised that the multifunctional ice arena will be built on time and commissioned in September 2022. “The government of the Novosibirsk region has taken all possible measures to make up for the lag behind the original schedule. The number of workers at the facility has been increased, additional agreements have been reached with construction organizations, and all additional labor and financial resources have been attracted. To date, there is no doubt that by the 2023 World Youth Ice Hockey Championship the facility will be fully built in compliance with all quality standards and requirements. Today all conditions have been created for this. The construction of the facility is under the special control of the regional government, ”he said.

The construction of the ice arena is carried out within the framework of the federal project “Sport is the norm of life” of the national project “Demography”. A six-storey ice arena complex with a total area of ​​55 thousand square meters. m will include the main arena for 10.5 thousand spectators and a training arena with stands for 200 spectators. There will also be a sports hall, a gym, sports changing rooms for teams, delegation offices and the necessary ancillary facilities.

In parallel with the construction of the ice arena, the Sportivnaya metro station is being built on the existing metro overpass. Construction and reconstruction of a number of transport infrastructure facilities are underway – within the framework of the national project “Safe and high-quality highways”. All work on the development of the road network will be completed on time, as well as work on the improvement of the territory adjacent to the new ice arena.
