The large-scale construction of new kindergartens made it possible to reduce the age limit for admission.

Moscow kindergartens will start accepting children from two years and two months. Such an opportunity from September 1 will appear in 110 districts of the capital, said Sergei Sobyanin on your page in the social network “In contact with”

“10 years ago it was a pleasure to arrange a child at least three years old. To solve this problem, we began to build more kindergartens and lower the age limit for admission – first to two years and eight months, then to two years and four months. Now – up to two years and two months, ”the Moscow Mayor wrote.

According to him, the city will do everything to ensure that such an opportunity exists in all districts.

Since 2011, more than 300 kindergartens and 113 schools have been built in the capital. Every sixth kindergarten working today has been built over the past 10 years. It is planned to open about 70 more new preschool education facilities and almost 90 new schools by 2023.

Preschool institutions in the 2020/2021 academic year in Moscow enrolled about 435 thousand children… This is 51 percent more than in the 2010/2011 school year (288 thousand children). Over the past 10 years, the number of children under the age of three in preschool groups has doubled.
