“Those industrial zones, on the territory of which the factories used to smoke, today for the most part represent a depressing, pitiful sight. Therefore, in recent years, we have been focusing on development and integrated construction, just paying attention to the development of industrial territories. The ZIL industrial zone is an example of this. This is a revolution for Moscow. About two thousand hectares of industrial zones that we see should be reorganized in the near future – this is about seven trillion in investments, about 500 thousand jobs, millions of square meters of housing for Muscovites. That is, this is such a large-scale world-class program, which will both advance the economy of Moscow and create favorable conditions for the life of Muscovites, ”Sergei Sobyanin said.

This year, projects for the integrated development of territories of former industrial zones were combined into a program “Industrial quarters”… Its implementation will attract investment, create about 500 thousand jobs, build about 90 new kindergartens and schools and 27 sports facilities.

For example, the investor will invest 14 billion rubles in the implementation of the project for the integrated development of the Oktyabrskoye Pole industrial zone and create more than 500 new jobs. And on the site of the former industrial zone in Shchukin, a modern technopark, 138 thousand square meters of housing and social infrastructure facilities, including two kindergartens, a school and a clinic, will be built.
