Municipal economy complex of the city of Moscow

Work is underway on 15 more reservoirs.

Specialists of the municipal economy complex have completed work on the reconstruction of 12 Moscow ponds. Another 15 are now being put in order, said the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for housing and communal services and landscaping. Peter Biryukov.

“We are completely putting the reservoirs in order: we are repairing the coastal fortifications, clearing the bottom of silt, and, if necessary, creating a waterproof layer to constantly maintain the water level,” said the deputy mayor.

He also stressed that Moscow’s reservoirs are an important part of creating a comfortable urban environment.

Experts regularly inspect all ponds, rivers and lakes in order to notice problems in time and make a decision on reconstruction. The list of objects in need of improvement is compiled annually, taking into account the wishes of the townspeople.
