The new building of school number 2117 is designed for 550 students.

The new building of school number 2117 was opened in Shcherbinka Sergei Sobyanin… The new building is located at 40 Let Oktyabrya Street, 5/1.

“Moscow is preparing for September 1 – the Day of Knowledge, school educational facilities are being repaired, reconstructed, new ones are being built. By September 1, about 25 objects will be commissioned, in total, about 40 educational objects – schools, kindergartens – will be built this year, ”the Moscow Mayor said.

In general, the city has created a sufficient number of places in schools and kindergartens. But there are areas where their deficit persists. Shcherbinka is an area on the territory of the Troitsky and Novomoskovsky administrative areas where housing is being actively built. More and more young families are moving here, so the new school is in great demand. In addition, it is convenient to get to as it is located close to residential complexes.

The new building of school № 2117 for 550 students was built on the site of the old building.

“Unfortunately, the old educational institutions are sometimes not subject to reconstruction. There was an old school, which had to be demolished and a new one built in its place. The same had to be done during the reconstruction of the kindergarten, the new building of which will be commissioned on September 1, ”the Moscow Mayor said. He added that the construction of several more schools and kindergartens will be launched in Shcherbinka in the coming years. This is necessary to eliminate the shortage of places in educational institutions.

Sergei Sobyanin also noted that kindergartens in most districts of the city begin to accept children from two years and two months. “On September 1, in 110 districts of Moscow, the availability of preschool institutions for children from two years and two months will be ensured. This is a major step towards increasing the availability of kindergartens. We must ensure that everywhere, both in Shcherbinka and in other areas, there is the same accessibility. We will work on this, ”the Moscow Mayor said.

The construction was financed from the Moscow budget as part of the city’s Targeted Investment Program.
