The Moscow Mayor discussed with the teachers the results of the past academic year and the tasks for the upcoming one.

Sergei Sobyanin opened the traditional August Pedagogical Council and awarded the 20 best schools in Moscow with grants for their contribution to the quality education of students.

“I hope that the educational system of Moscow is ready for the new academic year – about five thousand buildings have been prepared to host Moscow schoolchildren and college students on September 1. This is almost one and a half million people, – said the Mayor of Moscow. – There are a few days left. I think that we will run a marafet during this time, our schools will look festive on September 1, and schoolchildren and teachers will gladly come to offline studies. “

According to Sergei Sobyanin, the 2020/2021 academic year turned out to be difficult. Nevertheless, the city coped with new challenges: the schoolchildren passed all the exams with dignity, showed high results at the All-Russian and international Olympiads. “First of all, this became possible thanks to you – teachers, parents, students. Thanks a lot!” – added the Mayor of Moscow.

Stolichny Department of EducationSergei Sobyanin instructed, together with school principals, to conduct an audit of the buildings of educational institutions in order to understand which of them need comprehensive renovation. This will help to modernize existing schools, built 40-50 years ago, following the example of the modernization of polyclinics. “This is the most important big, huge work, to which we must approach, plan, develop standards together with you and begin to act in this direction,” the Moscow Mayor emphasized.

The new academic year, according to Sergei Sobyanin, should become a new stage in the development of Moscow education. “I am sure that the academic year that we are starting will enable the city education system to take another step forward in quality, in an individual approach to schoolchildren, in improving the educational process, in the material base of our schools and kindergartens, so that our education not only remains the best, but also moves on, ”said the Moscow Mayor.

It is important for the capital to change the content of education – to ensure the transition from abstract knowledge to applied knowledge. The first step was to change the tasks of the OGE, where now more attention is paid to the ability of students to apply the knowledge they have learned in life.

“In addition to the examination requirements, of course, it will be necessary to change the curriculum and methodological recommendations. This is a whole process, but it is very important, because we teach children not so that they simply receive some amount of knowledge, but so that it is useful for their whole future life, for understanding what is happening in the city, in the country. , in the world, made it possible to use their knowledge, ”said Sergei Sobyanin.

It is especially important to continue the work on the development of pre-professional classes – this year half of the schoolchildren will be able to study in them. New for this year will be classes in entrepreneurship. “Young people should not be afraid of entrepreneurship. The fear of him is based on ignorance. Laying the foundations, knowledge in this direction will allow many of these guys to find themselves in life, “- said the Mayor of Moscow.

At a meeting with teachers, he discussed the results of the past academic year and tasks for the upcoming academic period. According to him, by the end of the summer, the epidemiological situation in the capital had improved. “I hope that we will not need online education, at least we will definitely do everything so that schools do not need to function normally, everyone is interested in this,” Sergei Sobyanin said.

To counter the spread of coronavirus in schools, a number of sanitary requirements will remain. “Thermometry, distribution of flows in such a way that there is no intersection of different groups of students, and a number of other requirements – this is general cleaning, additional disinfection, and so on,” he said.

At the same time, the constant wearing of masks may no longer be a mandatory requirement for teachers. “Maybe, while the epidemiological situation permits, we will transfer this requirement from mandatory to recommendatory, and you will decide for yourself at the school level whether to comply with it or not. Because more than 80 percent of our teachers have taken root, for which a special thank you to them, ”the Moscow Mayor explained. In his opinion, wearing a mask should be an individual decision of teachers.

In a conversation with teachers, Sergei Sobyanin said that the city will continue to index the standards for per capita financing of schools. “We have every opportunity to lay this indexation in the budget for the next year, so from January 1 the standard will be indexed,” he said.

The project will continue to develop and open up new opportunities for education “Moscow Electronic School”… “I can hardly imagine how we would have survived online education without the Moscow Electronic School. I think they would not have coped in terms of both quality and volume. It would be some kind of disaster. But this did not happen thanks to the Moscow Electronic School, an electronic magazine, a diary, online communication, conference calls within the framework of the MES ”, – said the Mayor of Moscow.

This year, the project goes to a different level – it creates thematic frameworks, leading companies involved in the creation of educational content are connected to it. And most importantly, MES has an opportunity to form a student’s portfolio and build individual work with him. According to Sergei Sobyanin, from the very beginning this was the mega-goal of the project.

“All modern education and in general our whole life is more and more concentrated around the individual and his aspirations, wishes, his talents, his abilities, and the school should not remain outside this process. On the contrary, one must be ahead, because it is at school that the image of the future person, his potential, his aspirations, his self-awareness in this life are formed. Therefore, the Moscow Electronic School plays a very important role in this regard. But this is only a tool and it will depend on you how it will be used, how effective it will be, ”the Moscow Mayor said to the teachers.

In addition, Sergei Sobyanin said that Moscow will increase its quota of up to 20 thousand children in the center of military-patriotic education of youth “Avangard”, which works in the park “Patriot”. He added that this is almost half of all who attend the annual training camp. “Unfortunately, we were not able to fully load the center, taking into account the epidemiological situation, but this year, I think, we will catch up. The capacity of this center is 14 thousand people a year only for Moscow students. And accordingly, 14 thousand – for schoolchildren of the Moscow region “, – said the Mayor of Moscow.

There are plans to develop other military-patriotic projects as well. From this year, history lessons began to be held at the federal museum on Poklonnaya Gora. “More than 10 thousand children have already visited wonderful exhibitions. I think this practice will continue, ”added Sergei Sobyanin.
