Muscovites will choose the best parks for evening walks, where you can admire the sunsets. Vote takes place in the “Active Citizen” project. The list includes 16 vacation spots, users can choose up to five options.

Among the contenders for the victory are the Khodynskoe Pole park with panoramic swings and sun loungers on artificial hills and the Friendship Park, from the bridges of which it is comfortable to watch the setting sun. Also in the list is the recreation area “Left Bank”, which offers a view of the Khimki bridge, the rivers Khimka and Vorobievka. The park has an equipped observation deck.

You can vote for Fili Park with a well-equipped embankment, coniferous and deciduous forest with century-old trees, Angarsk Ponds Park, where you can watch the sunset on the bank of the Big Angarsk Pond or in the apple orchard, or Olympic Village Park, where the best view of the sunset opens from the observation deck. The list includes Vorontsovsky Park, where you can rent a boat and watch the sunset on the water, or just walk along the Bolshoy Vorontsovsky Pond. The observation deck of Gorky Park offers a view of the Neskuchny Garden, Vorobyovy Gory, Shukhov and Ostankino towers. You can get to the site by ticket every day (except Monday).

You can watch the sun hide behind the views of the Moscow City business center in Krasnaya Presnya Park from the side of Maly Island, where there is a bridge, benches and a lawn. In the southern part of the Bauman Garden, before sunset, it is especially beautiful next to the berso – an arched tunnel in which live plants climb.

The voting also included “Kolomenskoye”, where it is better to admire the sunset from the Dyakov settlement. You can go there from the embankment of the Moskva River past the palace of Tsar Alexei Mikhailovich. The Milovida pavilion in the Tsaritsyno Museum-Reserve is also suitable for evening walks.

You can also vote for the Kuzminki park – it is good to walk there in the evenings along the coast of the Shibaevsky pond. Visitors to the embankment in the Kuskovo estate museum, from where the Sheremetev palace can be seen, also has a wonderful view. Here you can relax on the sofa benches.

Residents of the eastern part of Moscow enjoy spending the evening hours near the Round Pond or at the boat station in Izmailovsky Park.

A romantic view of the setting sun opens from the Bolshoy Kamenny Bridge in the park along Olonetsky passage, located on the banks of the Yauza.

Muscovites who have not found their favorite parks in the list can suggest their own options.

This is not the first such vote in the Active Citizen project: in winter, for example, the best city parks for skiing were chosen.

The Active Citizen project appeared in 2014. During this time, more than five million people have joined it, of which almost two million – in 2020. Muscovites decide which streets, courtyards and parks need to be landscaped, how city polyclinics, libraries, My Documents offices should work, and choose events for festivals and celebrations. The townspeople took part in more than five thousand votes. Decisions supported by a majority vote are implemented in the city.

You can find out what has appeared in Moscow or has changed thanks to the project at online map, more than 1.6 thousand objects have already been applied to it. And in the heading “Pulse of the Capital” you can assess the changes that have taken place in Moscow. Also, from the end of 2020, “active citizens” have the opportunity to send the points accumulated in the project to charity.

The Active Citizen project is being developed by Moscow Department of Information Technologies and GKU “New management technologies”.
