On the territory of the 40th military base “Otar” of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the drawing of lots among the participants of the competitions “Masters of artillery fire” and “Falconry” took place.

Thus, under the guidance of the Chief Judge of the “Masters of Artillery Fire” competition, Major General Askar Zholamanov, the commanders of the competing mortar crews determined the order of arrivals of their teams and the colors of their military equipment. The Russian team had to act in a yellow armored vehicle.

Representatives of Kazakhstan, Syria, Russia and Uzbekistan will be the first to enter the start of the “Individual Race”. Following them, mortarmen of the armed forces of Azerbaijan, Belarus, Vietnam, Tajikistan and Iran will enter the competition.

Also, on the territory of the 40th military base “Otar” of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a draw was held among the participants of the “Falconry” competition, which determined the sequence of teams’ performance in all three stages of the competition. Iranian operators of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) will open the first stage of the competition.

At the end of the draw, a briefing was held for the participants in the Masters of Artillery Fire competition. The contestants were told about the safety rules, the specifics of the competition and the conditions for their holding. They were also informed about the infrastructure and material and technical base of the landfill.

The issues of other safety were not forgotten – ensuring the protection of the health of the contestants. All military personnel participating in the competition are vaccinated. Before arrival and immediately after arriving in Kazakhstan, they underwent mandatory quarantine and a PCR test. According to the major of the medical service Andrei Kalashnikov, the receiving party has done a great job. Medical support, food, the location of teams, compliance with all sanitary and epidemiological requirements in public places and in the conduct of classes are properly organized.

The 2021 International Army Games will be held from August 22 to September 4 on the territory of 11 states (Russia, Algeria, Armenia, Belarus, Vietnam, Iran, Qatar, Kazakhstan, China, Serbia, Uzbekistan). In total, more than 5 thousand servicemen, consisting of 277 teams from 42 countries, take part in 34 competitions of ARMI-2021.
