In the Northern Fleet, under the leadership of the Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Navy, Admiral Nikolai Evmenov, an exercise was held on special types of support for the Navy. Episodes of the exercise, according to a single plan, were played out in several garrisons of the Northern Fleet.

At the main base of the fleet in the city of Severomorsk, the commander-in-chief assessed the actions of the specialists of the technical bases of weapons of the MTO center of the Northern Fleet in solving problems of preparing, supplying and loading missile and mine weapons, including cruise missiles, on ships using floating cranes and truck cranes. In this episode, in addition to the specialists of the logistics center, the newest frigate of project 22350 “Fleet Admiral Kasatonov” and the destroyer “Admiral Ushakov” were involved.

Similar tasks with submarine crews were practiced at the base points of Gadzhievo and Zaozersk.

During the exercise, practical actions to organize anti-submarine and sabotage defense of the main basing points were decided by the PDSS forces, which demonstrated the use of project 21980 P-421 and P-429 anti-sabotage boats, as well as high-speed boats, when repelling an attack by sabotage groups of a conditional enemy.

The search and rescue forces have worked out the tasks of extinguishing a fire on a ship conditionally in distress, rescuing people at sea, including using search and rescue helicopters, and organizing the towing of an “emergency” ship.

The Commander-in-Chief of the Navy also checked the organization of anti-mine support during the withdrawal of naval forces from their basing points, the work of specialists in navigation, hydrographic and hydrometeorological support, and the organization of medical support.

In the positional area located not far from the settlement of Kitsa, Admiral Nikolai Evmenov assessed the actions of the EW specialists of the Northern Fleet, who conducted training in radio reconnaissance and suppression of radio-electronic objects of a mock enemy based on the Murmansk-BN radio interference systems.

In the course of practical actions on the airfield support of the naval aviation of the Navy at the Severomorsk-1 airfield, 37 aircraft of all types were involved, which made about 50 sorties.

In total, about 50 ships, submarines and support vessels and about 6 thousand servicemen and employees of the Northern Fleet were involved in the exercise on special types of support for the Navy.
