The driver-mechanic of the Russian Federation team during the II stage of the International Competition “Excellence in Military Intelligence-2021” set a record for passing the route on infantry fighting vehicles (BMP) in difficult terrain conditions in the history of the International Army Games competition.

Servicemen from 6 countries had to overcome the 7.5 km route at maximum speed. The track includes 15 different obstacles, such as a water barrier, a track bridge, a railway crossing, an anti-tank ditch. Also, driver-mechanics demonstrated their skills in BMP driving in exercises to turn the car at 90 degrees and pass between the posts on descents and ascents. The scout from Russia managed to reach the finish line in 11 minutes 52 seconds. The driver-mechanic of the Russian team broke the record by 27 seconds, which was also set by the Russian team in 2020, the time was 12 minutes and 19 seconds.

Six main teams from Russia, China, South Ossetia, Belarus, Uzbekistan and India in full force, as well as eight singles are teams The Republic of the Congo, Burkina Faso, the Republic of Mozambique, the Republic of South Africa, the Republic of Tajikistan, Cameroon, the Kingdom of Eswatini (one person each).

For reference: The International Army Games-2021 will be held from August 22 to September 4, 2021 on the territory of 11 states (Russia, Algeria, Armenia, Belarus, Vietnam, Iran, Qatar, Kazakhstan, China, Serbia, Uzbekistan).

In total, more than 5 thousand servicemen, consisting of 277 teams from 42 countries, take part in 34 contests of ARMI-2021.
