The largest amount of investments was brought by manufacturers of drugs, medical devices and equipment.

For six months of this year, the volume of investments of residents of the special economic zone (SEZ) “Technopolis” Moscow “” in the creation and development of high-tech industries amounted to more than 11.5 billion rubles. This was announced by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Economic Policy and Property and Land Relations Vladimir Efimov.

“In the first six months of 2021, residents of the Technopolis Moscow SEZ invested more than 11.5 billion rubles in the development of the capital’s economy. This is 3.6 times more than the indicator of the same period last year – then more than 3.2 billion rubles were invested in the development of high-tech industries, as well as 1.7 times more than the total investments of residents for the entire 2019, which amounted to 6.6 billion rubles. In total, over 15 years of operation of the Moscow SEZ, residents’ investments have exceeded 49 billion rubles, ”he said.

Companies invest in the development and expansion of production, modernization of equipment and new developments. Thanks to the improvement and opening of new industries, the city receives taxes and new jobs. For example, according to the results of last year alone, residents created about 1.3 thousand jobs, and over the entire period of SEZ operation since 2006 – more than seven thousand.

The largest amount of investments was provided in the first half of this year by manufacturers of medicines, medical devices and equipment.

The three leaders in terms of investments in the development and modernization of production for the six months of this year also include enterprises of the microelectronics cluster. These are manufacturers of chips, microcircuits, semiconductor products, which have invested almost 730 million rubles. In addition, more than 280 million rubles were invested in high-tech industries, which are engaged, in particular, in the production of inspection equipment, 3D printing and the creation of educational complexes for the education system.

Comfortable business conditions allow enterprises to effectively invest in production sites, said Gennady Degtev, General Director of the Moscow Technopolis.

In addition to the cluster of medical technologies, equipment and biopharmaceuticals, enterprises of microelectronics, information and communication systems and energy efficient technologies are developing production facilities. Special economic zone preferences provide access to duty-free imports, a zero property and transport tax rate, and a preferential profit rate.

SEZ Technopolis Moscow includes five sites with a total area of ​​223.3 hectares: one is located in Pechatniki and four (Alabushevo, Mikron, MIET and Angstrem) – in Zelenograd.
