In the Pskov Region, the crews of the Army Aviation Brigade of the Leningrad Army of the Air Force and Air Defense of the Western Military District (ZVO) performed group flights at low and extremely low altitudes.

As part of training flights, the crews of the Ka-52 Alligator reconnaissance and attack helicopters, the Mi-28N Night Hunter attack helicopters, and the Mi-8AMTSh multipurpose transport helicopters conducted twin takeoffs, flights in units with minimum intervals at altitudes of 100-150 m and at a speed of up to 200 km / h, and also performed escape maneuvers in the air when fired by air-to-air and surface-to-air missiles.

In addition, the crews of the attack helicopters worked out the elements of fire cover for the transport sides during the landing.

In total, over 60 military personnel were involved in the flights, about 20 helicopters were involved in them.
