Today, the participants of the international competition “Polar Star” at the Brestsky training ground in the Republic of Belarus performed one of the most difficult exercises – “Storming the building”.

In accordance with the concept of the competitive test, a group of Russian reconnaissance officers parachuted off from a Mi-8 MTV-5 helicopter, after which they carried out an assault, freeing the hostages and clearing the captured building. At the same time, the rest of the scouts provided cover and clearing the outer perimeter.

The competitive exercise was performed in unfavorable weather conditions under rain, low clouds and strong gusts of wind.

The international competition “Polar Star” among special-purpose units is held on the territory of the Republic of Belarus on the basis of the Brestsky training ground from August 22 to September 4 as part of the VII International Army Games. It is attended by teams of the armed forces of nine states – Russia, Belarus, Venezuela, India, Iran, China, Morocco, Pakistan, Uzbekistan.

The Russian team at international competitions will be represented by the winners of the all-army stage of the “Polar Star-2021” competition – the best scouts of the special forces of the Airborne Forces of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.
