Commander of the Airborne Forces, Hero of Russia, Colonel-General Andrei Serdyukov visited the exposition of the Ryazan Guards Higher Airborne Command School named after General of the Army V.F. Margelova (RVVDKU) at the Army-2021 International Military-Technical Forum (IMTF).

During the acquaintance with the scientific achievements of the cadets and teachers of the RVVDKU, the commander of the troops was presented a virtual reality simulator for tactical and fire training of the landing and special forces “Chameleon-VR-Duel”, developed by the department of weapons and shooting of the school in conjunction with the special technical center “Radar”.

The training complex was developed on the basis of the experience of fighting in Syria and is intended to train units of the Airborne Forces and special forces in tactical and special actions with elements of fire contact day and night.

“Chameleon-VR-Duel” provides training in observation, terrain reconnaissance and firing using standard weapons, optical sights and devices. An innovative feature of this complex is the use as an adversary not of a virtual opponent (computer program), but of a real person in a virtual environment. The simulator runs on domestic software and has not yet been implemented in other law enforcement agencies.

Its application will provide effective training day and night in any simulated terrain and environment, in all weather conditions, inaccessible for real training.

Colonel General Andrei Serdyukov highly appreciated the scientific development of the teachers and cadets of the RVVDKU.
