In Belgrade, the heads of delegations of the six countries participating in the international competition “Guardian of Order” ARMI-2021 met with the Minister of Defense of Serbia, Dr. Nebojsha Stefanovic. The reception took place in the large hall of military glory of the old building of the General Staff of the country’s armed forces.

Welcoming the representatives of Russia, Kazakhstan, Qatar, Cyprus and Iran, the Minister of Defense of Serbia noted the particular importance of such an event as the “Guardian of Order” competition for the country’s armed forces.

“We have been participating in the International Army Games for six years now, and it is a great honor for us to be among the 11 co-organizing countries this year,” Neboisha Stefanovic said addressing the heads of delegations.

According to him, the training grounds and the material base required for the competition are completely ready. He expressed the hope that the competition will become spectacular, dynamic and will be held in an atmosphere of friendship and camaraderie.

“I can note how well the military police are trained and how difficult their job is. Each participant needs special physical training in order to successfully complete the tasks within the framework of the competition, – said the head of the Serbian military department of Serbia. “Thank you all for coming and participating in such an important event for us.”

The minister also thanked the military observers who will attend the military police competition – this year they are representatives of Belarus, Hungary, Greece and Egypt – and invited everyone to the opening ceremony of the competition on the Square of Serbian Soldiers in Kraljevo.

“I also invite everyone to the third and fourth stages to provide support and cheer for the servicemen,” concluded Nebojsa Stefanovich. “I wish everyone success, so that everyone leaves Serbia with a smile, pleasant emotions, and that we see each other again in the future.”

The reception was attended by the head of the Russian delegation in Serbia, Deputy Head of the Main Directorate of the Military Police of the Russian Ministry of Defense, Major General Vitaly Kokh. Greetings to all teams were also expressed by the chief judge of the competition, Colonel Nikola Mijatovic, who once again familiarized those present with the main stages of the upcoming competition, and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Serbia Alexander Botan-Kharchenko.

The competition “Guardian of Order” of the International Army Games-2021 starts in the Serbian city of Kraljevo on August 29 and ends on September 3. During the four stages of the competition, the participants will have to demonstrate their shooting skills, practice the actions of a patrol squad in an impromptu village, go through a special obstacle course, including in a patrol car, and also make a military-police throw for 12 kilometers.

Before the start of the competition, all teams have two more days to train. The draw for the first stage of Ognevoy is scheduled for 29 August.
