Its length will be 130 meters.
The station under construction on the Big Circle Line (BCL) of the Maryina Roshcha metro station will have the longest escalator in Moscow – its length will be 130 meters. Now the escalator at the Pobedy Park station (almost 127 meters) is considered the leader. I wrote about this on my page on the social network “In contact with”Sergei Sobyanin.
The depth of the Maryina Roshcha station is 70 meters, it is more difficult to build it than the rest of the BCL stations.
Rounded columns will be installed in the lobby, and huge balls will become the pillars of the ground pavilion. All work is planned to be completed next year. The station is part of the northeastern section of the ring together with the Sokolniki and Rizhskaya stations.
A few days ago, metro builders startedtunneling of the last, 70th tunnel of the Big Circle Line, it will connect the stations “Klenovy Boulevard” and “Kashirskaya”.
The construction of the Big Circle Line is the largest metro construction project. The new ring will be 70 kilometers long and will have 31 stations and three depots. It will connect existing and prospective radial lines up to 10 kilometers from the Circle Line. From the BCL stations, it will be possible to transfer to 20 stations of other metro lines. In addition, there will be transfers to the MCC, MCD-1 and MCD-2 and other railway lines.
12 stations of the Big Circle Line are already available for passengers. There are plans to open 10 more stations this year.
