In the Republic of Belarus, at the Brestsky training ground, the participants of the “Polar Star” competition ARMI-2021 performed one of the most difficult exercises – “storming a building”.

In accordance with the concept of the competitive test, a group of Russian reconnaissance officers parachuted off from a Mi-8MTV-5 helicopter, after which they carried out an assault, freeing the hostages and clearing the captured building. At the same time, the rest of the scouts provided cover and clearing the outer perimeter.

The competitive exercise was performed in unfavorable weather conditions in the rain with strong gusts of wind.

The international competition “Polar Star” among special-purpose units is held on the territory of the Republic of Belarus on the basis of the Brestsky training ground from August 22 to September 4 as part of the VII International Army Games. It is attended by teams of the armed forces of nine states – Russia, Belarus, Venezuela, India, Iran, China, Morocco, Pakistan, Uzbekistan.

The Russian team at international competitions is represented by the winners of the all-army stage of the Polar Star-2021 competition – the best scouts of the special forces of the Airborne Forces of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. In addition, the Rosgvardia team will take part in the competition on an out-of-competition basis.

The 2021 International Army Games will be held from August 22 to September 4 on the territory of 11 states (Russia, Algeria, Armenia, Belarus, Vietnam, Iran, Qatar, Kazakhstan, China, Serbia, Uzbekistan). In total, more than 5 thousand military personnel, consisting of 277 teams from 42 countries, take part in 34 competitions of ARMI-2021.
